چکیده

Abstract Background Bisphenol F (BPF) and bisphenol S (BPS) have replaced A (BPA) in the manufacturing of products containing polycarbonates epoxy resins; however, effects these substitutes on risk cardiovascular disease (CVD), including congestive heart failure, coronary disease, angina pectoris, attack, stroke, not been assessed. Objective To examine association urinary BPS BPF with CVD a U.S. representative population. Methods Cross-sectional data from 1267 participants aged 20–80 years 2013–2016 National Health Nutrition Examination Survey (NHANES) were analyzed. Survey-weighted multiple logistic regression was used to assess between BPA, BPF, CVD. The Bayesian kernel machine (BKMR) model applied mixture effect. Results total 138 patients identified. After adjusting for potential confounding factors, T3 tertile concentration increased (OR: 1.99, 95% CI 1.16–3.40). When stratified by age, we found that 50–80 age group 1.40, 1.05–1.87). positively associated 2.22 times (95% 1.04–4.74). No significant observed Although BKMR did identify mixed exposure effect BPS, increasing compound concentration. Conclusion Our results suggest may increase US population, prospective studies are needed confirm results.

Bisphenol A and Peripheral Arterial Disease: Results from the NHANES

BACKGROUND Bisphenol A (BPA) is a common chemical used in the manufacture of polycarbonate plastics and epoxy resins, and > 93% of U.S. adults have detectable levels of urinary BPA. Recent animal studies have suggested that BPA exposure may have a role in several mechanisms involved in the development of cardiovascular disease (CVD), including weight gain, insulin resistance, thyroid dysfunctio...

Bisphenol A and Metabolic Syndrome: Results from NHANES

Background. Bisphenol A (BPA) is detected in the urine of >95% of US adults. Recent evidence from population-based studies suggests that BPA is associated with individual components for metabolic syndrome (MetS). However, no previous study has examined the direct association between BPA and MetS. Methods. We examined 2,104 participants from the National Health and Nutrition Examination Survey 2...

Biodegradation of Bisphenol A, Bisphenol F and Bisphenol S in Seawater

A group of compounds structurally similar to bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)propane (bisphenol A, BPA) are called bisphenols (BPs), and some of them can partially replace BPA in industrial applications. The production and consumption of BPs other than BPA, especially those of bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)methane (bisphenol F, BPF) and bis(4-hydroxyphenyl)sulfone (bisphenol S, BPS), have increased recently, leading...

Human Exposures to Bisphenol A, Bisphenol F and Chlorinated Bisphenol A Derivatives and Thyroid Function

Although the increasing prevalence of thyroid nodular disease (TND) has been partially attributed to the more frequent usage of improved diagnostics, environmental factors, such as exposures to thyroid-disrupting chemicals may contribute to TND and altered thyroid function. We investigated the association between exposures to bisphenol A (BPA), its chlorinated derivatives (ClxBPA), and bispheno...

Bisphenol S and F: A Systematic Review and Comparison of the Hormonal Activity of Bisphenol A Substitutes

BACKGROUND Increasing concern over bisphenol A (BPA) as an endocrine-disrupting chemical and its possible effects on human health have prompted the removal of BPA from consumer products, often labeled "BPA-free." Some of the chemical replacements, however, are also bisphenols and may have similar physiological effects in organisms. Bisphenol S (BPS) and bisphenol F (BPF) are two such BPA substi...
